About us

Brunel District is a part of Avon Scout County in South West England.

The district was originally created in 2005 to cover north-east Bristol and neighbouring parts of South Gloucestershire, superseding the then North East Bristol District. The district covers 18 Scouts groups. The district is also home to 5 Explorer units and one Network unit.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
